Laqueatrece Lashon Warren, DNP, CRNA, MSN

Bio

Laqueatrece Lashon Warren, DNP, MSN, CRNA is an experienced advanced care provider that has a passion for teaching, as well as, providing high-quality care to all patients by utilizing evidence-based practices.  Moreover, she has expertise in utilizing the quality improvement process to facilitate changes that could lead to improved staff personal development, staff retention, and patient care.

Education

Dr. Warren earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with a minor in Social Welfare from the University of Alabama and a Master of Science in Nursing from both the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and the Samford University. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and has completed a certification in Project Management Essentials and a certificate for Nurse Educator from the UAB School of Nursing.  

Employment

Dr. Warren has been a nurse for almost 25 years, with over 15 years of experience as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA).  She has provided anesthesia for patients at a level one trauma and burn center, UAB Hospital, where she has served on the CRNA Engagement Committee, the Wellness Committee, and Peer Supporter.  She has been employed simultaneously as an Adjunct Assistant Professor for the UAB School of Nursing and has the expertise, and scholarship focus on quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes. She is a simulation instructor for her anesthesia department and serves on the AANA Simulation Subcommittee.
